85% Syrah, 15% Grenache Noir. Deep ruby in color. Pronounced violets and floral and aromas mixed with blackberry, black cherry, blueberry, bramble, vanilla, white pepper, and a whiff of oak. The palate is dominated by blue and black fruit with fresh and compote tones. Secondarily featuring dark chocolate, smoke, cracked black pepper, beef jerky, herbs mix, earthy, and bottle aging wonderfulness. The medium plus flavor intensity is lifted by acidy, muscular tannins resulting in a full body wine with a long finish. There are layers of complexity that do evolve in the glass to keep this wine really engaging to the end of the bottle.
Food Pairing: BBQ grilled, beef ribs, duck breast, grilled lamb chops, capon stuffed with morel mushrooms, Bluefin or Red Tuna tartare with ginger, beef in orange sauce, Asian style beef, sausage with lentils.
