100% Chardonnay. The wine is nicely aromatic, serving up scents of ripe pear, yellow apple, and a hint of fresh peach with accents of toasted hazelnut and grilled fruit. There’s a nice heft on the palate with generous flavors of orchard and stone fruit, a bit of lime zest, a touch of grilled pineapple, and a nice pop of lemon and salty stone on the mouthwatering finish. Ripe and round enough for any fan of un-oaked Chardonnay, but with the precision and stoniness only fine white Burgundy can deliver. Delicious and outstanding value.
Food Pairing: works with buttery dishes like fish in a butter sauce like Hollandaise, or béarnaise, potted shrimps, chicken pot pie, cauliflower cheese, salmon fishcakes, crab, mushrooms on toast, braised fennel, chalky cheeses.
