100% Petit Verdot. Deep ruby color. Aromas of violets, lilac, blackberry, black cherry, bramble, black plum,, smoky, earth, and dried herbs. Continuing on the palate woodsy char, jerky, and black pepper corns. This wine is a full bodied, dry, medium acidity, medium plus, with chalky tannins, and a medium finish. The bold youthfulness is countered by the creaminess of oak aging building a rustic style.
Food Pairing: grilled beef, spicy pork, osso bucco, smoked gouda, and cheddar.
