100% Zinfandel. Deep purple in color. Medium light aromas of plum, blackberry anise, prune, violets, baking spices, and raisin. Very concentrated and intense, but not jammy on the palate. Additional flavors blueberry, bramble, strawberry, anise, black pepper, mesquite, clove, vanilla, charred wood, fig, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and pomegranate. This is a dry wine with medium plus acidity and medium plus chalky tannins driving a full-bodied wine. Dried prune with grapey notes on the medium finish.
Food Pairing: Grilled vegetables, grilled steak, baby back ribs, Gruyere and Gorgonzola cheeses.
