100% Primitivo di Manduria (Zinfandel). In the glass it has a very dark and deep purplish color. The nose smells of sweet aromas, which recall ripe fruit, in particular plum, blackberry, cherries, vanilla and ginger. Experience further flavors of dried fruits like prunes, fig, raisin, cooked plum and cherry. Adding to complexity, there are hints of licorice and earth, warm, silky, with a finely worked and very enveloping tannins. It closes with a moderately persistent finish.
Food Pairing: Excellent throughout the meal, especially with first courses cooked in the oven and second courses with grilled meat. Also worth trying with aged cheeses, it is to scream with lamb chops.
