100% Petit Verdot. Black garnet color. Big dirt, earthy, blackberry, black plum, charred bell pepper, bramble, with pickled pimento on the nose. Flavors of dark berries, dirt, wet leaves, chocolate, vanilla, pencil shavings. This one needs an hour decanting. Dry fat body, medium acidity, BIG but fine-grained integrated tannins, memorable finish. A rustic big body need a campfire wine.
Food Pairing: lamb, grilled meat, Chinese BBQ pork, Mexican dishes with adobe or mole, stroganoff, hard cheese with big flavors.
