Vikingernes Mjød is a more classic mead than the one Vikings drank in days past. It is brewed exclusively from high-quality honey, ginger, earth, dandelion, spices, and hops which are the basis of the aromas. On the palate additional flavors of fresh lime-pineapple juice, green apple, pear, white pepper, ginger candy, butterscotch, and milky tea. This is a sweet wine, with high acidity to balance the sugar and builds on the complexity of flavors. Light spice aeromantic linger for a medium-plus finish.
Food Pairing: Serve it as a chilled aperitif, as a dessert wine or heat it up for ‘gløgg’, a Danish mulled wine.
