City Vino will be hosting the Confident Rooster Society for two nights of improv comedy. Expect quick quips, absurd situations, whimsical snark, and plenty of wine-soaked humor. There’s no script, just audience suggestions and performers brave enough to turn them into something hilarious on the spot. In this blind tasting class, we’ll use the tools you already possess, your senses and everyday experiences, to identify what you taste and rethink what we think wine should be. Using the simple “See, Swirl, Sniff, Sip” method, we’ll explore six wines and uncover how varietals express themselves differently depending on where they are grown and how they are made. Along the way, you may surprise yourself with the flavors you recognize and the wines you enjoy most. Each wine is paired with a light snack, though the match will remain a mystery until the wine is revealed.
Funny Man and beloved City Vino wine rep, Jon Yeager is coming to City Vino to share jokes and wine. He is bringing with him comics that have played at the DC Improv and have appeared on TV. Can't name drop, you just must come see who it is. Included are four comics paired with four wines and a light snack. By the glass, bottles sales, and other food menu items available for purchase.
