100% Chardonnay. Medium gold in color. Aromas of lemon curd, wisteria, green apple, citrus, toast, with an underlying nuttiness. Continuing to the palate, pear, peach, lemon curd, hazelnut, with fully developed autolytic yeasty – butter flavors. The wine has medium plus acidity which helps to distribute the complexity of the flavors across the palate. It has a creamy efflorescence which when combined with a slight bit of sweetness, gives levity to what could otherwise be densely flavored. It all culminates in a persistent long finish.
Food Pairing: Buttered and salted popcorn, oysters on the half shell, dishes using clarified butter, sugar cookies.
