Herbal, oaky aromas followed by black fruit aromas of blackberry black plum, bramble, with fainter peppery, stemmy fragrance. On the palate cranberry, black currant, baking spice, black pepper, licorice, and toast. Dry, fairly dense body wine at medium plus acidity and medium plus smooth tannins. Some complexity flavor layering at the medium level resulting in a good value wine for the Cote du Rhone appellation level.
