100% Sauvignon Blanc. Pale, lemon color. Aromas of citrus, gardenia, vanilla, char, toast, followed by citrus lemon-lime, light hint of gooseberry. The complexity continues to the palate with flavors of Asian pear, guava, fresh sea spray, balanced with a grassy, white asparagus, and ginger-tinge. Mouth feel is slightly oxidative due to barrel aging. Obviously a different approach. This is a dry wine with medium-plus acidity, creamy texture, full body, and a long smoky, fruit cup finish.
