100% Petit Verdot. Deep ruby in color. Welcoming aromas of black cherry, violets, lilac, black plum, soft notes of vanilla and oak tones, followed by dried herbs. On the palate, a brambly mix of blackberry, blueberry, and fun, funky earthy notes classic of the varietal. Subtle hints of cracked pepper and spice. Tannins are grippy but balanced against the medium-plus flavor intensity and medium acidity. Fairly complex in flavor. It’s a Petit Verdot that is generally kind when you want to just open and go.
Food Pairings: Grilled meats like steak or lamb, hearty stews with root vegetables, bold cheeses like Gouda, cheddar, or blue cheese, mushroom risotto, and smoky BBQ ribs with tangy sauce.
