Additional flavors on the palate include black currant, black plum, bramble, black currant leaf, vanilla, smoke, chocolate, pepper, earth, leather, and mushrooms. This is a dry wine with medium acidity, medium plus chalky tannins. There is a savoriness in the midpalate that is inviting when it swirls with the medium intensity fruitiness creating a fun balance between tones. There is structure and complexity that develops between sips if you can hold for it to develop. So slurp-able! Memorable medium plus finish.
