A merry red blend with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The largest portion is Merlot. Deep purple in color. Fairly expressive wine with evergreen leaf, black plum, blackberry-bramble, violets, lighter notes of oak, herbs, and cocoa. Continuing to the palate, flavors of strawberry, toast, coco becomes more apparent, then vanilla, cassis, and a bit of nuttiness. This is a dry wine with medium acidity, high, course tannins, which was surprising given the age that whole wine is so youthful. This is full body, with medium plus concentration intensity, and finish.
