95% Malbec (Côt), 5% Tannat. Deep purple to ruby in the glass with an amethyst rim. The nose opens with black cherry, red currant, and ripe plum, layered with cool black tea, licorice, clove, and a subtle earthy note of crushed stone and dried sage. With air, the aromatics sharpen and the mineral character becomes more pronounced. The palate is fruit-driven and precise, showing black cherry, stewed blackberry, blueberry, and pomegranate. This is a dry wine with medium acidity that provides lift, while medium-plus chalky tannins lend structure without weight. Medium plus flavor intensity, building a medium-plus body, and a long graceful, mineral lined finish with lingering dark fruity and spice. Elegant expression of Cahors.
