85% Cot (Malbec), 10% Merlot, 5% Tannat. Deep ruby with purple highlights. Bursting aromas of red cherry, compote strawberry, black cherry, bramble, earthy, forest floor, leather, sweet tobacco, and dried blue fruits. Continuing to the palate a concentration of flavors of black plum, black currant leaf, vanilla, warm wood tones, wet leaves and a touch of white pepper on the finish. This is s a dry wine with medium acidity, medium chalky tannins, and body. Flavors delightfully mull around and linger for a medium plus finish.
Food Pairing: Excellent with lighter cuts of beef, cassoulet, mushrooms, roast duck, duck confit, roast lamb, roast pork, mild blue cheese, short ribs, couscous, and turkey.
