100% Touriga National. Deep opaque purple. Aromas of rose hip, violets, crushed berries, black currants, black plum, wet slate, cream, and warm oak tones. Continuing to the palate, flavors of raspberry, blackberry, bramble, toasted black peppercorn, jam, farmyard, cassis, clove, touch of earth, smoke, meat, and leather. This is medium acidity with medium plus chalky tannins, culminating in a medium plus bodied and finish. 

Food Pairing:  beef stew, mushrooms, BBQ, meatloaf, grilled chicken, Cabrito Assado (roasted goat), Manchego, cheddar, pecorino, parmesan, earthy-grilled vegetables.
