100% Maturana. Deep ruby in color. Aromas of leather, violets, raspberry, dark cherry, wet leaves, paprika, black pepper, herbaceous notes, balsamic, toast, and light hints of cassis. On the palate: dark berries, black currant, black plum, herbal tones, wet stone, baking spice, leather, and cigar smoke. This is a dry wine with medium acidity and medium fine-grained, rounded tannins. Medium bodied, with a lovely balance of weight, tannin, and concentration that intensifies as the wine opens up. The finish lingers to a medium-plus length, sitting full and plush on the palate with tobacco leaf and worn leather on the close.
