80% Tempranillo 15% Graciano 5% Mazuelo (Carignan). Deep garnet‑red core with brick‑tinged edges. On the nose it offers a complex bouquet of dark fruit, cassis, blackberries, dark cherries woven together with coffee grounds, cigar smoke, cedar‑toned oak, tobacco leaf, and subtle earth undertones. As it opens, hints of leather, cedar‑box spice, and forest‑floor notes emerge, adding depth and maturity. Primary dark fruit carries through, joined by secondary flavors of espresso, dark chocolate, cedar spice, dried plum and a slight black olive savouriness, while tertiary touches of leather, tobacco, underbrush, cedar bark and dusty mineral add complexity.  This is a dry wine, medium acidity, medium-plus chalky tannins that lend structured. The wine’s concentration and intensity are substantial but balanced, thanks to good acidity and integrated oak, giving a wine that feels powerful yet refined. The finish is long and persistent, leaving lingering notes of dark fruit, cedar‑smoke, mineral earthiness and savory tobacco;  a fitting sign of a Gran Reserva built for ageing and long enjoyment.

Food pairings: roast lamb with herbs, braised beef short‑rib, aged Manchego, chorizo stew, grilled rib‑eye steak, wild mushroom ragù, slow‑cooked oxtail, duck confit with orange glaze.
