70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre. Deep garnet color. Aromas of red cherry, raspberry, cherry liquor, strawberry, oak, tobacco, vanilla, chocolate, black pepper, black plum, currants, and spices. This is an elegant wine with soft tannin, medium acidity, medium-plus body, and a long lingering finish of dried herbs, earth, chocolate, and coffee. It drinks more like a "baby Châteauneuf" than a Côtes du Rhône.
Food Pairing: grilled meat & vegetables, camembert, brie, gouda.
