100% Syrah. Deep purple in color, this wine opens with brooding aromas of black currant, blackberry, blueberry, and wild bramble, interwoven with subtle African violets. Beneath the fruit, layers of vanilla, cedar, mocha, and sweet tobacco add complexity and warmth. On the palate, concentrated flavors of ripe plum, black cherry, and black pepper, complemented by touches of eucalyptus, red cherry, prune, marzipan, graphite, sandalwood, and candied black fruits. The fruit and acidty intermingle gracefully, creating a textured mouthfeel that's smooth and refined, free of harshness or bitterness. This is a dry wine with medium acidity and high, velvety tannins, and a medium-plus body. The flavor intensity is medium-plus, culminating in a long, elegant finish.
