Syrah juice from Washington State, vinified in Virginia. Deep purple in color. Aromas of dark fruit, bramble, leather, mushroom, farmyard. Additional flavors on the palate black cherry, strawberry, red cherry, black pepper, dried herbs, blackcurrant leaf, toast, vanilla, dried blackberry, with a light chocolate finish. This is a dry wine with medium acidity, medium plus, soft tannins, juicy medium plus body and finish.
Food Pairing: crusted lamb, BBQ, hamburgers, mushroom, cartelize onions, roasted squash, triple cream brie, cream cheese, softer blue cheese.
