100% Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder). Pale ruby in color. Medium plus intensity of aroma which emits notes of violets, earth, funk, blue fruit bramble. Changing on the palate are flavors of strawberry, red cherry, light red blossoms, Herb de’ Province, pastry, vanilla. Lighter notes of leather, mushroom, and dried blackberry. This is a dry with uplifting medium-plus acidity, medium fine-grained tannin which dried a very drinkable medium body. The wine was clearly made in a Burgundian style with fresh fruit flavors at medium intensity with a undergirding of wet earth lasting to a medium finish.
Food Pairing: BBQ or a warm summer evening, served chilled (57-64°F), Antipasti, salami, ham, burgers, pasta, mushrooms, burgers, brie, camembert, Jarlsberg, goat cheese.
