80% Garanche, 20% Syrah. Deep ruby in color, this wine offers aromas of blackberry, blueberry, black plum, black cherry, fig, violets, light eucalyptus, warm oak, and an undercurrent of potpourri and earth. The palate shows layered flavors of bramble, cooked blackberry, red cherry, red currant, mulberry, black fig, vanilla, game, earth, and black pepper with lingering red cherry notes on the finish. Dry with medium acidity, medium lightly chalky tannins, medium body, medium flavor intensity, and a medium-plus finish, the wine is balanced and approachable with ripe dark fruit supported by savory complexity and gentle structure.
