95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot. Deep ruby in color, with aromas of violet, cranberry, bramble, warm oak, toast, and earthy mushroom. The palate reveals marionberry, red cherry, blackcurrant, black cherry, and blueberry, layered with softer notes of blackberry, mint, fennel, dried herbs, biscuit, cream, almond, walnut, leather, and nutmeg. Dry with medium-plus acidity, high chalky tannins, full body, medium-plus flavor intensity, and a long finish. Although firmly structured, the wine is surprisingly restrained and elegant for Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Its layers of dark fruit, savory herbs, earthy nuances, and oak-derived complexity gradually unfold in the glass, rewarding attention throughout the bottle.
Food Pairing: Braised beef short ribs, grilled ribeye, roast lamb, venison, wild mushroom risotto, beef tenderloin with compound butter, aged Gouda
