The aromas carry over to the palate with the extensions of the fruits in cooked and dried format; peach jam, dried apricots, ginger, cooked white plume, and warm nutmeg.  The sweetness of the port is balanced by the medium high acidity, full bodied, with a light acidic, palate clearing, finish.
