Petit Verdot The Petit Verdot (PV) grape’s origins in France date back to the 16th/17th century. The grape is believed to be the child of a grape called Balisca, which originated in Albania, and it was believed to have been brought to France by either the Romans or Greeks.

It’s a Red Blend World The "red blend" category of wine has expanded sharply over the last few years. By definition, these wines contain less than 75% of any one specific grape. The category currently accounts for approximately 40% of new wines introduced in the U.S. and has surpassed Cabernet Sauvignon in volume of purchases in this country.
