Last week, City Vino was dreaming of a red (wine) Christmas, and we continue that thought for our weekly tasting on Friday, December 10, and Saturday, December 11, with red wines from around the globe. Join us on a quick tasting jaunt to Italy, France, Spain, and Virginia.
Established in 2016, Mountain Run Winery is located on Mountain Run Lake Road, in Culpepper, Virginia. The winery is named after the Mountain Run waterway that navigates from Mountain Run Lake, along the rear of the property, and into Lake Pelham.
The informal meaning of the word peachy is “unusually fine or dandy” and that is our wish for you, this Memorial Day weekend, and all summer long. With temperatures bound to rise as we have already experienced a few days this month, nothing is more refreshing in your glass than something bright, cold, and possibly frosty.
This coming Sunday, May 9, 2021, is Mother’s Day, so let us raise a glass of wine and celebrate all the women in our live—whether they are a mother by birth, by adoption, or by their kind, caring, and nurturing spirit. Our suggestion is to toast moms with women-made wine or cider.
